This simple plain black beret is knitted from soft cotton yarns. The classic French beret style has a little tab at the top and a rolled stitched hem at the brim. There's nothing like a stylish black tam to set off an outfit, and this one will see you from day through to night. It's comfortable and easy to care for as you can wash it gently and dry it naturally.

As it's made purely from cotton, its vegan and anti-allergy: no itching here! It's sized for an average female head, coming up at approximately 22.5" circumference with an 11" diameter. If you need a variation in size or colour please ask as I make plenty of custom orders and love seeing what my customers want.

I make all my pieces myself in my north Devon studio, using my vintage flatbed knitting machines, and my hardworking hands. All my designs are my own originals, despite the presence of some copyists on Etsy now - I've been making mine since 1990!
