Often requested so I've added it to my range, this lovely dark charcoal grey is a perfect colour for my Highlander tam collection. It's knitted in super soft pure alpaca, and the base colour is deep dark grey, with flecks of white creating the charcoal effect. This dark grey Highlander bonnet is great for men or women alike. It has a gently rolled and stitched hem, making it easy to style - wear it to the side for a full Scots effect or the back for a softer, more casual grunge look.

This charcoal Scots tam is sized at 12.5" diameter and 23" circumference; if you'd prefer a smaller diameter version just check the section in my shop marked "alpaca/wool hats" and you'll find exactly that in there! This one is the larger version. If you would like a larger or smaller circumference just let me know at checkout and I'll be glad to knit you one to fit perfectly.

My Highlander tams have been a great hit since I launched them. These make great gifts for re-enactors, for this with Celtic or Gaelic roots, or simply for fans of a certain Scottish period drama that seems to be very popular at the moment!

To care for the tam, wash it gently by hand with gentle detergent; rinse it and then dry it flat. You can reshape it with a two-dot setting iron if you need to, once it's dry.
